Round of applause for our sponsors

I come from an traditional art background but on my foundation year I grew to love the 3D art space and with my love for games it made sense to explore 3D game development.

During high school I took visual art and highly enjoyed it, I was first introduced to digital painting in my final year of high school, and that's when i first thought dang it'd be nice if I could do this for the rest of my life.

Since I have start my studies in Middlesex Univesity

Since I started studying the course in the college three years ago, the more I learn about how to use the different software that can be used in the gaming and filming industries, the more I finally to realise I want to work in these industries. It is fascinating to know how these things work in many industries.

Since I was a child, I have always been creative and enjoyed coloring and painting over going out to play with the other kids. Growing up I discovered new technical skills I could apply as an artist, since 3D was developing and became increasingly popular. I am now passionate about realistic 3D for feature films and Visual effects in feature films. I am always looking to learn new skills to go above and beyond.

My love for fashion has always been present. During high school, I participated in the Technovation Girls competition with my friend who wanted to be an app developer. I fostered and grew a love for technology during that project. I eventually came across 3d animation and the software that merges it with fashion. I am now a fashion design student with a strong passion for fashion design and technology. I want to work in that space to grow my love and skill in these fields of interest.

After I first saw people posting game art for Call of Duty.

I was in Sixth Form, the English version of college, and I had an epiphany after a few lessons in the subjects I chose, and originally, I wanted to be an Illustrator, but when I was accepted into Middlesex Uni on a Visual Arts Foundation Course, I decided that I liked Character Design and wanted to be in a course where I could do that. I chose to go into 3D Animation and Games and got a 2:1 for my work, although I would love to push my work even further.

I've been an avid gamer since I was very young but I first realised I wanted to work in the industry when I was around 13. I decided to try to enter the young BAAFTA game awards competition and although I didn't win, it ignited a strong passion for what has become a road towards becoming a 3D artist making assets for video games within the creative industry.

Covid-19 threw a spanner into the works for some of my older plans, and staying in the house was difficult for everyone, but I wanted to make my time feel more valuable. Working on personal projects filled my time and made me feel like my months out of work and college were not wasted.

At a young age, after playing a lot of video games and watching movies. Media such as this always had my interest and acting as a great way of putting me in a good mood, since I felt the same way since then, as i got older I decided that it would be a fitting career path for me as it's something I'm passionate about.

I realized in my first year of college that I wished to become a 3D artist. I joined a 2D and 3D animation course that truly cemented my interest in the industry and arts. Ever since then I tried to surround myself with creatives.

I like to see things move.

In sixth form when I discovered that drawing characters and animation could be a career choice.

While I was pursuing economics. While I was drawing as hobby, slowly I became immersed in the possibility of having a full time job as an artist. During my university years my hand injury got worse and the possibility to create art became less possible but not lost! With my knowledge in business and my passion for management I choose the path of production :)

I always loved art in any forms and I love to learn more about it.

I have to say it was one of those "when I was a kid" stories. During my developmental years I watched Discovery channel a lot and one day a segment of the "How it's made" series caught my eye. It showed roughly how games are made and all the roles that are part of the creative process. Never having thought of that but having a passion for video games, the young me saw potential and curiosity overwhelmed me.

I first realise I wanted to work in the creative industry when I started college. I initially saw animation as a hobby but as I worked on my first animation project, I really like undertaking the whole animation process, from conceptual work to post-production. It's a really fun process that I didn't think I would enjoy. Hopefully, I could continue making animation projects for people in the industry whether it be in a studio or as a freelance animator.

When I first had an eye for concept art where artists draw and model anything from imagination such as creatures, characters, vehicles and fantasy environments. I realized with the basic skills I have, I can achieve on getting these skills.

Marvel is a big inspiration for me. My passion for the creative media definitely started with the movie and tv industry!
