I started off at university in a graphic design degree but I did animation as a elective. After my first semester I realized I was spending 80% of my time working on 3D projects and I was enjoying it so I decided to transfer into the Creative Media Production degree where I choose Animation and VFX as my Pathway. I have been enjoying it ever since

I knew years ago that I was interested in the entertainment industry, having now three years of practise under my belt becoming proficient within Houdini, Unreal and Maya I am feeling confident and eager to take my first step into it.

When I started to draw more often this year!

I have always enjoyed different types of animated and 3D media growing up. I was especially obsessed with video games, the main ones I played were ps3 and 4 story games as well as lots of indie horror games. I also loved watching anime and animation YouTubers growing up. However, I never considered making a career out of my passion until I attended a Yoobee animation holiday course in year 11, it was there when it clicked within me that this is what I wanted to do. I got my career calling.

When I was in my teens, I first played the Tomb Raider Reboot in 2013 when it came out, and I loved every single experience. I immediately got hooked to the behind the scenes and realized there are jobs in the creative industry. I was always into the arts at a young age and it was just a great feeling to know that I can utilize my creative skills in an industry environment.

I have always been interested in the creative digital space, creating movies with my friends and family on iMovie as early as 9 years old. This translated into me taking visual art and design papers all throughout secondary school; teaching me the foundations of artistic composition, design processes and critical thinking in creative practice. Graduating high-school at the top of my class in these papers, led me to Massey University’s BSA(Hons), helping me fuse art, design and media together.

As a young girl, loving stop motion and animated films. I got distracted in my 20's and now I want to nurture my creative spirit so I am currently in my second years doing in a Bachelor of Creative Media Production at Massey University, Wellington. I am enjoying learning the software for 3d animation, modelling, texturing and VFX along side with critical analysis of media and audience.

The first time I realised I wanted to work in the creative industry was when I moved to London. While there I travelled all over America, Europe, Africa and Asia and began photographing the beauty of different landscapes, cultures, and people that I encountered. I then began to explore art in the form of painting, drawing inspiration from the photos I had taken. Once I returned to New Zealand I enrolled in a Bachelor of Creative Media Production to explore new and exciting forms of artwork.

My interest in Animation was first sparked through Anime (not surprising), watch movies such as Howl's Moving Castle, Garden of Words, and Wolf Children where the action flows so magically, and I knew I wanted to create something that beautiful. In my first year of University I became more interested in 3D animation with the release of Spider-man into the Spider-verse.

I have always been a daydreamer, and as I've gotten older I've learnt how to express my ideas in a creative way. I want to make my dreams a reality and bring my ideas to life.

My lifelong passion for fine art collided with my love of animation and TV when I began taking animation courses at university. Seeing people’s reactions to my animations and art was what fueled me to pursue a career in creative media and entertainment. I am always fascinated by the range of emotions I can evoke with my creations that started as just a simple idea in my head.

I was always mesmerised as a kid by Disney films such as Tarzan and the black cauldron and developed a love for drawing and art, what really threw me into 3D was my first trip to the Weta Cave in wellington, which introduced me to Maya, blender, and Zbrush and after dabbling into it through high school I finally decided to take the leap and continue growing my 3D skills through University.

I have always loved the art and wonder of animation ever since I was a little girl. Drawing and painting are my passion. At the age of 16, I left my homeland and travelled more than 9000 kilometres to study in New Zealand and pursue my dream as a concept artist and animator. Working in the creative media and entertainment industry is always what I aim for my life career.

I was always interested in painting and drawing as a child, but after rewatching Lord of the Rings back in 2011 and seeing all the pre-production work done by Weta, I wanted to be a prop maker. In the past few years, I've painted more for my school portfolios and after seeing all the fascinating characters, vehicles and landscapes produced by concept artists really inspired me to do create my own.

I've always been creative but, it wasn't until I came across Weta Workshop's The Crafting of Narnia in my primary school's library did I know that it was possible to work on films.

Well, I had no interest in anything like this until I realized it was a uni degree. I started off with no prior knowledge, and I struggled. I didn't know if I could see a future doing this. But by the end of my first year, being able to see the progress I made, was amazing. And that feeling of improvement is just addictive and that's kinda when I figured out this is what I'm meant to do.

I first realised I want to work as a 3d artist after discovering blender at 13. Something about working with the 3d medium was so exciting and every day that excitement grows stronger. I heard of houdini around 2019 and decided to delve into it in 2022. I immediately fell in love with the software and I hope to work with it and learn more and more throughout my life.

I have loved being creative and making stuff from a young age. I am passionate about creating interesting and immersive atmospheres and environments. I love how these immersive and imaginary spaces can tell a story, such as fantasy movies with fascinating characters, environments and storylines. I went to the College of Creative Arts at Massey University Wellington, New Zealand, and in my final years of study, I explored immersive and empathetic storytelling through virtual reality.

After watching the LOTR and Hobbit trilogies at 12.

When I used to make Lego stop motion movies when I was younger. I realised that I wanted to do this in the future to a higher standard so I could show people how I see the world.

I've been passionate about art ever since I was small. First it started with a love of creatures and nature, and went from there.

I have played around with modeling software for almost 10 years now and my passion has grown as time went on until a couple of years ago when I discovered I could potentially have a career in this industry which I had made a hobby of.

I've always been a massive game and film nerd. Initially I was making some basic films for fun but soon I realised how addictive the creative technologies are and got stuck in VFX, game design and animation.
