I've had an animation realization in high school, and had some first failed attempts for a few top programs in China. After taking up Civil Engineering as my bachelor's degree, I realized I still wanted to fulfill my animation dream and made a career change after graduation.

When I was young, I used to believe everything I watched was real. Every movie, cartoon, tv show, and whatever else was really happening somewhere, and that made me feel like we live in a world of magic. I've always dreamed of being able to recreate that experience for other people.

In my second year of college, I realized the kind of jobs in the entertainment industry had and decided I wanted to be part of it.

I'm good with two things. People skills, and an eye for design.

I started my career learning Graphic Design but after taking just one class and learning so much about Autodesk Maya and the skills needed in the 3D production pipeline I knew there was another calling for me. I then continued to study the design fundamentals while keeping my feet centered in the 3D digital art world by expanding my skills from modeling to animation to post VFX. I now consider myself a very adaptable 3D generalist and am looking to gain knowledge from other professionals.

When I was in middle school, I had the honor of meeting a super cool teacher that inspired me. She was super fun and loved pigs to such a large extent; she had tons of pig-themed items littering the studio room. I continued working on my art skills, thanks to her assistance. No matter how many times people ridiculed me or said that I would never amount to anything by working in this field, I persisted and strived to push myself to create even higher quality work.

During the gap year after completing B.S. in biology, I realised I was more interested in gaming industry and decided to pursue 3d animation.

When I first put on the Oculus Quest 2 headset, I knew instantly that this immersive experience would be something I want to be a part of -- not just as an audience, but as a developer as well. Although I was (and still am) pursuing a degree in Computer Science and I never thought about working in the creative industries, I've always been an artist since I was a child. Game development could be a really good way to combine the two interests I have.

Trained and practiced as an architect and event designer before deciding to transition into the animation/games industries . It has always been a personal dream to create consumable media and tell stories through tv or games.

The entertainment industry has always fascinated me. As a child, I used to spend hours creating my own worlds and characters, trying to give them a story like the ones I would see on the television. As I grew, I realized that I wanted to make that impact on others around me. I wanted to be the one who brought that same joy and fascination to the new generations to come.

I started making little sculptures out of oven baked clay when I was around 4 which then progressed to carving a fish out of wood at 9. My creative pursuits just expanded after that, getting my first Wacom tablet in 5th grade and making a frame by frame animation in a random paint program so I wouldn’t have to lip sync on camera and then eventually discovering 3D modeling my junior year of high school. I ended up loving Maya and decided to pursue that passion and go to school for visualization.

I have always loved playing video games where I can collect and customize items. I find pc games so immersive, I always get lost in it for hours, and so I decided to pursue a field where I can have a chance to work on something similar. I'm so excited to work on something that others can enjoy, and be happy to look at generally.

I've wanted to work in media since I was in Elementary school, being enamored by my favorite cartoons and video games. I love art and design, and combining those for a living would be a dream come true.

I have been passionate about art since I started taking watercolor lessons in a kitchen at the age of seven. I knew that I wanted to channel that passion into creative media and animation when I first watched the behind-the-scenes tapes from The Lord of the Rings films. I was fascinated by the ingenuity and imagination of those artists and knew I wanted to do everything I could to cultivate that same creative vision in myself.

I had started university with the plan of graduating with a computer science degree, but soon after entering I had gotten bored of the work I was doing and could not see myself doing the same work as a career. When exploring new options, I looked at what I enjoyed and what I had a passion in, which was video games. After learning about the vast branches that the entertainment industry has, I swapped my focus to 3D computer animation and now I am committing all my time to learning.

I first realized I wanted to work in this industry at a very young age. I have always loved film and art, and when I was told I could be doing this as a career nothing could stop me from working to achieve that.

My junior year of high school. I took an art class my sophomore year, really enjoyed it and a year later I realized that that's what I wanted to be doing for the rest of my life.

Reading comics, playing video games and watching live-action film has always left me wanting to produce content in the entertainment industry at an early age. Pencil drawings turned to digital paintings turned to 3D sculpting and the rest is history.

It's been a dream ever since a I was little, but I realized I could make it a reality shortly before college.

I realized I wanted to learn how to be a 3-d artist because it combined the two things I love to do; use a computer, and make art!

I discovered my passion for shooting and editing video at the age of 11 through producing my own skateboarding videos. I continually pursued my passion of producing skateboarding videos and acquired various sponsorships throughout my youth for my skateboarding talents. As I transitioned into adulthood, there was no question that I wanted to utilize my film production skills and dive deeper into the technical areas; such as VFX, animation, compositing, and motion graphics.

While I’ve wanted to be an artist since kindergarten, I became interested in Animation right in my senior year of high school. I stumbled upon a whole slew of short animations and I couldn’t stop watching. Up until then I was focused on fine arts, but those shorts turned all of that around. I suddenly realized that was an option and that I actually could become a part of that industry.

I first discovered my desire to become a part of the entertainment industry when I took a 3D Animation class during my sophomore year of high school. I instantly fell in love with creative freedom 3D Animation afforded and have been taking classes and/or learning on my own ever since!
