Probably while at high school (which was many years ago now). I’ve basically plodded along since then, studying a couple of times then working for over 20 years in Graphic Design Recently I studied Animation gaining a degree. I now need an opportunity to use my newly gained skills and knowledge.

After getting halfway through my computer science degree and realizing I wanted to directly contribute to the creative industry, especially since I was naturally learning and investing energy into creating art anyways.

When I got into college I realized that art was more than just a simple hobby to me, but the one thing that has kept me going. With that knowledge I knew I wanted a career in this industry and prepared to put the work in to get there.

I've always been into cartoons and adult animation as a kid, but I first got into creative media back in high school when I got into anime. The first anime I watched was 'One Punch Man' and I remembered how epic the animation was, everything was so dynamic and over the top, I'd never seen anything like it before. That was when I thought to myself I wanted to do something like that, to make a series as epic as 'One Punch Man'.

Back in high school I started reflecting on my interests and realised that I want to work in animation. I always loved drawing, and making it my career was the best decision I could make. :) And much more recently, I also realised I quite enjoy game development.

Since Highschool but put off learning because I wanted go earn some money before hand

Ever since the age of 14 when I had run across a video online titled “How to Animate the Inception Totem with Cinema 4D and Dynamics” by Greyscale Gorilla, this sparked my interest in creating art but in 3D. Snowballing further with the discovery that games I played over the years as grew up had been made in ways not unlike this which pushed my interest further.

Ever since I had first been introduced into animated films, from Studio Ghibli to DreamWorks. Which then developed into a passion for creative entertainment, to create stories of art.

Since I was young I have loved storytelling and art. Working in the entertainment industry would allow me to combine these passions. I want my work to tell a story.

Since I was a kid I loved games which drove me to wanting to make my own game and help further the industry. After school it seemed so unattainable so I went to uni and studied something I didn't like which drove me to look for an education in games.

After many years working a 9-5 job I felt like my creative talents were being buried in the sand.... Therefore I made a leap toward studying something I passionately enjoy doing.

I've been a interested in 3D since 90s. watching it grow, It was a hobby of mine. My life has lead me down many paths (Factory worker, Commis Chef, etc.) but I returned back to school during the... uh, "quarantine" days and I am doing my best to work my way into some sort of computer game development

I've always been interested in games and animation, and when I chose a major I saw this course in Film and Animation and realized that I had an opportunity to work on what I was interested in. With the deepening of learning, I found interest in 3D production and learned. After graduation, I hope to contribute my skills and experience to the game and animation industry.

I have always wanted to work in this industry but always fell into the 'work for necessity' group and never really tried to have a go at chasing my dream until recently.

When I was a teenager after watched The Lord of the Ring

In high school I became interested in makeup and then creativity through makeup and special effects.

I have always been an creative person ever since I was a young girl. I started out drawing as a hobby and then I realised I have a passion for art. I pursued that passion and graduated from a Bachelors or Fine Arts, however I also started to gain interest in digital art for some time. After graduating, I have earned a Diploma in Animation (Level 5) at Yoobee College and now I am doing my Diploma in 3D Production (Level 6), achieving my goals to become a 3D artist.

We would always mess aound cameras as kids making funny videos, but it was back when I was 18 and leaving highschool and I wanted to do something creative, I started looking at education pathways. I chose to go to Broadcasting school. Making videos there, I found that there was much more to it than just filming someone say a joke. I learnt about 3d programs like maya, and now I know anything is possible.

I grew a deep love and appreciation for the art of animation when I was 10, and self-taught in an old version of Animate called Macromedia Flash 8. I was deeply interested in producing animation, I first wanted to get into television but soon realized my passion was mainly for the film industry after working on my own independent feature project.

I first wanted to be part of the creative media when I was around the age of 9 or 10, I have a real passion for games and VFX, and I have always enjoyed that part of the industry, when it comes to making games I have played games since I was 5 or 6 on the PlayStation and ever since then, I have always wanted to be part of the Video game industry. I also thoroughly enjoy VFX in movies and tv shows and whenever I watch any Film or entertainment I just love looking at the VFX.

When I started wanting to know how certain things within films where done I dove deeper into understanding how CGI was changing the industry. Once I started learning my curiosity only increased from there.
