Solar Eclipse

Design Project - SOLAR ECLIPSE

Adaptation project based on the fairytale "The Ugly Ducking". I created the two main characters, alien queen Raya, and Mal (the ugly duckling of the story).

Raya

Queen Raya's kingdom is located, not on any planet but, on the largest asteroid in the asteroid belt, Ceres. She was forced to become queen at 15 when her parents unfortunately died during travel. Her crown symbolises the solar system. The other planets and then her at the centre, the most important.

Mal

Mal's dad's work was always unknown to her until one day, after snooping around, she discovered a portal and was transported to Queen Raya's kingdom and quickly found herself a fish out of water. 

Props

Queen Raya's Throne

The throne's points symbolise the largest three asteroids in the asteroid belt. Ceres at the top and the other two being Vesta and Pallas. The rings were added once Raya became queen in memoriam of her parents.

Raya's Sceptre

A family heirloom now owned by Raya. Raya accidentally dropped and broke the sphere in half and the gold strip was added to repair it.
