after the initial designs i tried to visualise the tool in 3D, and with the limitations of the times i settled on as somewhat simple tool, but with basic mechanisms to make it more interesting, but still believable.

Trench Tool concept
The idea for this prop design is a gang members signature tool, a makeshift weapon that they have kept from using as trench weaponry in WW1, but now uses in gang work
