Overview

Ginto is a sports-themed strategy card game that provides avid S.E.A. games fans the thrill of managing their own sports team. Build your own dream team of athletes, boost their stats with training cards and send them onto the arena to compete not with their athletic prowess, but rather their core values, exemplifying the spirit of the S.E.A. games.

Game Story

Players take up the role of the Minister for Sports for one of the 11 countries competing in the S.E.A. Games. Each Minister of Sports is tasked to build a team of athletes to be sent to compete in various sports tournaments and win Gold Medals for their nation.

Gameplay

The board game consists of :

-Nation Cards

-Athlete Cards

-Training Cards

-Tournament Cards

Compete for Gold Medals in a total of 12 Tournament rounds of different sports each.

The athletes you send are judged not by their skill, but by the core values they possess (Courage, Determination, Inspiration and Respect) which can be trained using training cards.

Each Nation also has their own Unique advantages.

Will you play to your strengths, or against your rivals’ weaknesses? Will you risk using an athlete with a large stat even when your nation doesn’t give any bonus for it? Will you sacrifice an athlete you’d been saving for another turn to get a few extra points in and try to take another medal?

Play Athlete cards with high core values to outperform your opponents’ Athletes and win tournaments.
