New environment project made on Unreal Engine 5. I wanted to create a scene where i could exercise myself on very different lightings/ambiences with Lumen. All the assets are made on Maya and/or Zbrush, textured on Substance Painter. This project is made with Maya, Substance Painter, Designer, Unreal Engine and Nuke.
This project is based on the fabulous Yann Leblanc's concept.
First of all, i made a blockout on Unreal Engine. I wanted to work my camera placement and my image composition at the very beginning. In the same time i set up a hint of lighting. The moss on the assets was applicated with vertex paint.
The compositing was made on Nuke and Unreal Engine. I worked the color balance/saturation/highlight and also add a depth of field.
I was looking for a mysterious and distressing ambience. The fog intensifies the ghostly and macabre atmosphere.
The pine and leaf textures were made on Substance Designer and SpeedTree.
I made two alternatives lightings/environments. The first one i was inspired by the Fall atmosphere and for the second one i set up snow textures for a Winter atmosphere. For the falling leaves and falling flakes i used Niagara Particles.
