3D Motion Design: Wooden Tippings

About This Project

This project aims to stimulate tipping/see-saw motions of aesthetic that are seen commonly, with a relaxing ball-rolling loop made with woody textures and warm ambience.

The animation centralizes on 3 different designs that showcases a tipping motion, with a ball roll that will seamlessly connect through the different environments. For a smooth viewing experience, the scenes were designed with tidiness in mind, as a cluttered environment may make viewing a looping video bothersome. This shows the peacefulness of each scene as the wooden balls interact with the environment.

Process

Blocking Stage. Determining the placements based on sketch.

Ball-roll Animation. Determining the animation early on helps streamline the project before separating into different blender files.

Modeling Stage. Building the environment for each setting.

Rendered Outcomes

After modelling is complete, apply material and lighting.
