Google x Malaysia Day Microsite Design
I am a digital media design student from The One Academy Penang. This project is a microsite created using Bootstrap web programming with AOS and Lottie animations. The microsite aims to provide information about the pop-up event by Google and promote Malaysian culture and lifestyle.
Introduction
Google x Malaysia Day is about creating a pop-up event in Australia that allows more Australians to experience Malaysian culture and lifestyle. The main purpose of this microsite is to provide information about the event, including dates and locations. Additionally, an online exhibition is available on the microsite for those who are unable to attend the pop-up event. This responsive website is accessible on both mobile and laptop devices. The microsite consists of three pages: the home page, details page, and online exhibition page. The overall UI style is based on Google's design, and the Google logo has been redesigned to reflect the Malaysia Day theme. Users are able to register for the event on the microsite. Furthermore, there is a visual event map that users can interact with; clicking on items will reveal information cards for users to learn more. Users are also allowed to test their Language MBTI by answering Manglish questions on the online exhibition page.
Moodboard
The overall style is inspired by Google's design aesthetic, incorporating geometric shapes, and featuring a redesigned Google logo to better align with the Malaysia Day theme.
