About 'Mid July' - A reference to the “Orange Peel Theory” (based on the poem ‘Oranges’ by Jean Little & TikTok) - The orange peel theory focuses on the idea that small acts of service are not just about the action itself but about what it represents in the relationship. Despite knowing your partner can execute a task, but doing it for them anyway because you love them/you know they’ll appreciate it.

For the last 3 years as a Motion Graphics student, I've mainly worked on (and favoured) 2D sequences. My main objective of creating this short film was to add diversity to my portfolio, get over my "fear" and "hatred" for 3D motion graphics sequences/animations. Additionally, I wanted to add to my arsenal of programs and learn Blender before graduating as well as improve my lighting, texturing, composition and environment design. Inspired by photorealistic short films I saw on YouTube made in Blender, I decided to embark on this personal project - with limited knowledge on Blender and a timeline of 6 weeks. Although not perfect, it was a huge learning curve and very insightful in terms of the difference in terms of 2D vs 3D workflow.

About 'Hush Candle' Christmas Sale Video - I was given a brief  to produce a promotional video for the Christmas season for Hush Candle. The brief stated that the product placement was not too in people's faces and instead add more "aesthetic" elements that hinted at Christmas. I was tasked to complete this project within an 8 week timeframe.

Another eye-opening and challenging project that tested and forced out my little knowledge of 3D. In contrast to 'Mid July', I created this project in Cinema 4D and rendered using Redshift. Pushing my own limits in modeling and animation was the main goal of this project.

Featuring works from 2021-2024, I'm glad to showcase my newest showreel. Enjoy!
