Carried away by Fantasy
The works presented in this submission showcase my personal projects completed alongside my studies and freelance projects and aim to demonstrate my passion primarily for the subject of fantasy illustration. I am deeply dedicated to this field and am eager to pursue it as a full-time career.
BOOK RUNNER
Personal Project. Illustration of a young magician.
COME BACK TO ME
Halloween illustration I created in a process of coming out of a burnout period. It's about a fiancée who lost her lover after the wedding and turned to dark magic to bring him back.
MOROZKO
Moroz (also Morozko) in slavic culture the spirit in charge of frost and cold. Similar to Jack Frost.
SLAVIV MERMAIDS
Not many people know this, but according to Slavic folklore, mermaids do not have a fish tail. In this project I fantasized about what Slavic mermaids might look like.
Also I was inspired by the game the Witcher 3, and imagined I would like to see such a mermaid as an enemy, who hides the lower part of her body in a high morass or water, and the upper part entices to herself, but when you get close to her, it will be too late to run away :)
WELCOME TO THE FEAST
Vampire-themed illustration with just a small little girl, who is not as innocent, as she might look like.
SACRIFICE TO THE LADIES OF THE WOOD
The Witcher 3 fanart inspired by my favourite quest "family matters", also known as the bloody baron's quest. Ladies of the Wood are three witches who live in a cabin in the swamps of Velen, to whom the peasants make blood sacrifices for the well-being of all Velen.
LADY OF THE LAKE
Nimue verch Wledyr ap Gwyn, known as the Lady of the Lake from Andrzej Sapkowski's The Witcher series, is a sorceress who becomes pivotal in the saga's end, notably in "The Lady of the Lake." Living long after Geralt's time, she studies his history and aids Ciri's temporal travels with her extensive magic and historical knowledge.
I developed this concept during the mentorship with Marek Madej at CAA.
