This is a project based on the story of bipolar patients drawn in procreate, and it is also one of my final project as third-year student at The One Academy.

Introduction

Seeds of Hope also named "The Bipolar Seeds", is a story symbolically explores the emotional journey of a girl with bipolar disorder amid the ever-changing weather of life. Seeds represent her quest for stability in an unpredictable environment, intertwining with her daily activities. I used procreate to do the whole animation in 6 months, total 3000+ scene I've draw for this animation. This is a challenge for me.After all, I have never complete such a big project before.

Project Insight

The story insightfully depicts the challenges of bipolar disorder, illustrating the emotional complexities through dynamic weather shifts. The casual seed planting reflects ongoing efforts for stability. Mood fluctuations, mirrored in changing weather, capture the disorder's rollercoaster. The emergence of sunlight hints at moments of hope, leading to the blooming flower symbolizing resilience. The girl's calm contentment signifies acceptance of the ongoing journey, embracing both highs and lows in pursuit of emotional harmony.

This is the sketches of every scene I've draw. I've refine 3 times for the story board and thought about how to express the feeling I wanted, but the first two times were far-fetched, and I finally decided on this draft.

Here is the concept board of my whole project with detailed Insight, Problem and Solution.

Here is the full video.

Project Showreel

A project showreel was created to showcase the entire project, it's show the insight, problem, solution, and also some part of the video, I create the showreel to something like trailer of the animation.

Thanks For Checking Out My Project!

Additionally, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my esteemed lecturer, Mr. Leong Wai Khong, whose invaluable guidance, constructive feedback, and unwavering support have been instrumental throughout every phase of this project.
