Round of applause for our sponsors

Scarpa Drago LV

The idea was that the newer Scarpa Drago LV would now emerge from the old Scarpa Drago.

Personal student project.

My aim was to create a dynamic fast paced ad for one of the best shoes in rock climbing.

Not sponsored, paid or anything like that, I just love Scarpa shoes and wanted to create cool effects.

My first try with motiondesign, completely made in Houdini.

Inspired by ManVsMachine shots and other motiondesign shoe ads.

Workflow breakdown

I had only access to the Scarpa Drago so I had no other choice than to sculpt the Drago LV, with its slightly different features for example the sole, in ZBrush.

"Lost in the ocean" - Climate Change Campaign

This piece was for an uni assignment 1/2 a year ago. Aim of this project was to create an ad campaign with a message. So I decided to look at climate change campaigns from a slightly different angle.

Post Production

Breakdown

It was my first time creating and working on watersimulations in Houdini, so I was quite happy to find some good tutorials and tipps on the youtube channel Rebelway and the odforce forum.

I decided to use simulations because that way I can render the whole thing as an animation in the future.

I created the whole scene inside Houdini and rendered in 3Ds Max with V Ray. Two friends of mine where responsible for the bear. The first one created the groom and the second one the fine details like displacement or the eyes. They both also did a version of the polar bear in a different setting. The basemesh was a Grizzly Bear from Nicolas Morel which we adjusted a bit to make it more like a polar bear.
