100 faces Challenge
Hey rookie, I've created a challenge for you. The challenge is to create a photorealistic 3D model, but you only have 100 faces to work with. The rules are that you can use displacement maps to a certain extent. Additionally, you cannot make a face that has more than 3 to 5 points on it.
Hey people, I've created a challenge for you. The challenge is to create a photorealistic 3D model, but you only have 100 faces to work with. The rules are that you can use displacement maps to a certain extent. Additionally, you cannot make a face that has more than 3 to 4 points on it. If you go over this limit, it is very easy to cheat the geometry and get it down to 100
Davy Jones' Fractal Coral Saber: Inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean Crew. Handle guard crafted from procedural fractal, sculpted in ZBrush, and textured in Substance Painter.
This is the wireframe of the Sabre. It has 82 faces on the 3D model. The way it has been made is by baking a high-poly 3D model onto the planes and using an opacity map to hide the unwanted geometry from view. Then I used a displacement map on the 3D Model
