Project Description

This 3D motion design project is a vintage style, characterized by a continuous loop that captivates viewers. Set against the backdrop of a singular camera angle, the focus is on three iconic Western musical instruments: piano, cello, and harp.

The animations add a touch of magic, with objects defying gravity during musical performances and dropping when the music stops. This conveys the relaxing and joyful impact of music, where the body and mind float effortlessly. For cello and harp, dynamic musical notes enhance the visual experience, while the piano animation includes a floating music sheet.

Idea Sketch

This is the sketch that I drew. My idea is when the music plays, everything on the floor begins to float. The music notes and sheets swirl around the room, then glide out through the window.

After done sketching I start modelling , adjusting materials, lighting and camera angles.

Outcome

Here's the final outcome.

To make it more complete, I also added in some sound effects.

Piano

Cello

Harp
