Bean-elf
Bean elf me!!! :>
Update - 3 Jan 2024
This'll probably be the final update. A lot of this is made with the pen and brush tools and anchors.
I realise that I can just use the pen tool to make the ear instead so I redid it using the pen. I've also fixed the belt and horn and added a material to make the clothing look like felt. I don't know how I could pull the hair so far down so I changed it to just a bob cut. The hat is a similar situation so I left it as is. I've also made seams in the clothes and knitted seams on the hands and made the knitted material pattern a bit bigger.
For the base I just made it look snowy by using 2 layers of different height to make it lumpy and a clouds texture to texture it and added a wrapped gift and a candy cane.
And here are my final renders. I did try to render it properly in painter and I don't know why but the quality wasn't good, it took way too long to render and just wasn't working out so I tried to take screenshots of it in the right size requirements. Hopefully, this is alright. I'm thankful for this competition as I learned how to texture better using substance and I had fun making my lil bean. (≧◡≦)
Update - 1 Jan 2024
I've started adding to the head by making the face, hair, ears, hat and horn and then I worked on all the edges to fix the colours and add some shading. I've also added the boots and made the stripes on the legs wider.
I used Photoshop to make an alpha of a button for the eyes but without the holes so that I can customise them in Substance. I also made an alpha for the shape of the ear.
Update - 31 Dec 2023
I started yesturday but forgot to make my entry for this competition so here is what I've done so far.
I mostly used a material in substance on the whole thing to make it look crotcheted/knitted and adding colour and height to make all of the clothing.
