I finished the base of the head and started testing in Substance Painter. In case there were errors, I would correct them early on, and that's exactly what happened.

The errors:

I unified the meshes better using Boolean in Zbrush (I had divided them to facilitate modeling). The error occurred during the Baking process in Substance Painter; the Cage's range extended beyond the internal mesh, replicating the upper part of the head.

I know I can't alter the character's final mesh, but to carry out the baking process, I had to split it into 2 using Blender, separate by names, and redo the baking based on the names. This way, it works perfectly.

In the end, for the final version, in "Project Configuration," you simply switch the MAT version to the official version without changes to the mesh, and the baked maps will be applied as usual.

Now, it's just a matter of adding the face back and continuing with the modeling and detailing process.

My idea for the Meet MAT 3 Contest is to create Baby Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. I love this character, and I think it works really well.

I analyzed various characters in the first week, but I had to find a format that would work by modifying the geometry perpendicular to the normal since that's how Displacement would function in the final model. I had some great ideas, but due to this detail, they didn't work.

In the end, I was torn between Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio and Baby Groot. Both are great characters, but I believe Baby Groot is much cuter.

I started modeling him in Zbrush, always being careful not to create overlapping geometries, working with "high relief" as much as possible without distorting. I plan to block it out and add some details this week. I don't want to get too ahead and end up not working in the end.
