Armoured Mat

In a desolate wasteland, a lone armored warrior stood, visor concealing his gaze. As menacing creatures emerged, panic struck - his sword was lost. Undeterred, he adapted, using his armor's weight to fend off foes. Weaponless but determined, he pressed on, proving true valor in the face of loss.

Render Time!

I'm quite happy with the result and how true to my concept I was able to keep.

I only started my 3D Art this year and I have so much to learn.
During this challenge I was introduced to some new tool's I hadn't used yet, tools that I will definitely use in the future.   Watching the progress of other Mats was also really interesting and inspiring.
The whole process was really enjoyable.

Thanks' for stopping to have a look at my Armoured Mat.

I will be using this one a lot in the future.

I decided to not overcomplicate the senses and go with a "clean" metal finish with red fabric and brown leather.
Dirt/Grime will come later as needed.

"Now where did I put that sword..."

27/11/2023 Concept first draft

This is my first comp and my first upload to the Rookies!
I love medieval fantasy games and stories, so I couldn't resist the chance to have some fun with this and bring that to life.
I'd also really like to push some skills I've started learning this year and learn some new ones in the process.

So here he is...
I've chosen to put Mat in a full set of armour, Still deciding on a colour palette, this will come in the next update.

So far, I've started with the general arrangement for my armour, based off an idea board I've got going on.
