'Kingfisher'

For this piece I wanted to revisit one of my main characters from my final university project 'Rain' that I made in 2018, mainly to see how far I had progressed in this year.

The story of 'Rain' is set in a post apocalyptic, tribal Great Britain. A land filled with dense forests and open land with remnants of societal infrastructure. The world is teeming with animal life but rife with tribal war.

This is Kingfisher, he is the leader of the Pale Crows, a warrior tribe that controls the Pale Forest. He was chosen to lead the tribe after his predecessor fell in battle during the War of Three Swords, the same battle that saw him lose his right hand. Kingfisher is a fierce, battle hardened veteran of war and unrivaled in fighting ability, often found alongside his companion 'Queen', the albino crow.

'Vengeance'

Gundar the boar travels the eastern wilds in search of the bandits that enslaved and murdered his family.

Based on a short story I wrote in a fictional world. This was a personal challenge to add details to the character design that evoke parts of their story and history to the viewer.

'Rat King'

Whispers among the city folk tell of an old man that dwells in the dark depths beneath the city. The filth and rot that lie below is his domain and the creatures that reside there obey one master.

'Rain Animals'

These were some animal concepts I explored for my final university project 'Rain'.

The Great Stag and Great Boar are ancient legendary animals, decades old and much larger than their ancestors, these animals provide unique hunting opportunities, to hunt one of these creatures is a sacred act but no easy task, returning to the tribe with the heart of one of these beasts will win you fame and glory as a great hunter.

Wild dogs descended from a mix of old world dog breeds, now feral mongrels, roam the heaths and woodland in packs like wolves, hunting deer and cattle.
