Round of applause for our sponsors

This is on of the first models I've ever worked on in Maya, and it was part of my game develompent education to try 3D modeling. It was scary to try a new, big program like Maya, but once I got into it, I discovered how fun and creativly satisfying it could be. I also liked how my house turned out, so I just had to continue after the assignment was over.

I'm miles ahead from where I was when I first started, and that becomes very obvious when I work on models I started a long time ago. I notice stuff I've done wrong, or stuff I now know how to do better. With this model there has been a few remade parts, and I know there will be more, and honestly, I'm looking forward to it! Who knows where I'll be in a year?

This model is a re-creation of a real house my family has owned for many years. The house was built sometime during the 18th century, and during the 19th century my family first moved in. However, you can no longer live in this house. With time and poor manangment the house is slowly falling apart, and it's not long until we will have to remove it. No one wants to get rid of it, but that's the reality of the situation.
