The Retourned - Race concept art
this is the result of my learning in the world of concept art It has been a fantastic experience to see and apply the process that is followed when creating an artistic project. I hope you like the result of the project as much as I have enjoyed doing it. Thank you
These images are the result of a concept art project. The goal was to create a race that belonged to a fantasy world, otherwise, we were free to create whatever we wanted.
In my case, I have designed the faction of The Returned, these creatures , thanks to a great magical power, are capable of linking souls to what were living bodies in another life. Not only that, they are also capable of creating bodies by joining different bones and introducing several souls in the same body.
With this in mind, I planned an atmosphere that, while magical, felt dead, reflecting the deadly creatures that roam these lands.
Once the atmosphere had been established, I began to imagine what kind of beings lived in those lands. The Returned are a race in which war is its main pillar, therefore, its inhabitants had to be fierce warriors, beings capable of deceiving death itself.
This is what I have tried to capture through the different images: the arid lands in which they live, the remains that they leave behind and finally, the beings that you will find if you decide to venture into their lands.
