Hello! I'm Harshita Maheshwari and this is my FX Reel for 2021. I am a graduate from Vancouver Film School and I got the opportunity to work on amazing projects. I am currently studying and improving my skills. I had a lot of fun working on these projects and learnt a lot throughout the process. Hope you like it!

FX REEL

Here is my latest FX Demoreel. I am responsible for all the FX elements. Hope you like it!

Lava VS Ice

This project was my entry for the Rebelway FX Challenge. The concept is a classic and I was responsible for all the elements.I used Houdini for FX and Nuke for comp.Assets were provided by the Rookies and Rebelway.

Lightning

The lightning shot is part of the Basilica project by Arya Thakrar. I am responsible for the lightning and the destruction of the stone tablet in one of the fight sequences. The objective was to make the shot powerful for the story and visual appeal.

Girl Transformation

The transformation shot is part of Careful What You Fish For project by Elizabeth Filardi. I am responsible for the magical transformation of the girl into an inverted mermaid. I also participated in the concept and look of the shot.

Room Transformation

Shot Description-  As the indoctrination process starts, Aaliyah witnesses reality breaking and distorting in front of her. This shot connects the physical world (set 1) to the asteral plane (set 2)

This shot is part of the Psychommetry project by Abhay Venugopal. I am responsible for the simulation and concept of the shot.
