We as a group of four were assigned a location and had to create a concept for a hotel in Okinawa, Japan. I created images of the reception and my co-workers did the restaurant, hotel room and a relax room.

The target group - The modern explorer, someone who playfully interacts between exploring nature and seeking meaning in life through art and culture. The modern explorer wants to see the local culture at the same time as they want it to be contemporary and Instagram friendly.

The reception - I see the reception as a centerpiece in any hotel, where the design decisions have to be well reflected in all the other rooms. Making the entire hotel feel complete and cohesive. This lobby became open and spacious, but still trying to keep some level of privacy with the help of the wooden panels. There is also a space to relax behind the concrete wall, the stairs in the back lead us up to the second floor, and to the left is the way into the lounge bar.

Hotel Okinawa offers the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, welcome!
