Adobe Substance 3D introduced our little mascot with the first Meet MAT contest back in 2017, he has become kind of a big deal. With hundreds of paint jobs, a dedicated book, collectible figurines and various 3D printed versions, MAT has been busy! And today, MAT is back. He changed a bit. He grew. He needs new texturing, new looks. He needs you.

William is a creative professional deeply passionate about space, science fiction, gaming, and the technology that fuels digital creativity. He has won several art contests, and in 2020, he secured the grand prize in the Meet Mat 2 Texturing Contest with his "Polar CliMATe Scientist" entry.
With a professional background in graphic design and animation, William freelances as a motion graphics artist and designer. He has previously worked as an educator, sharing his expertise in After Effects and animation; he continues to do so through showcasing his creative journey, where he uses Blender and other software, on YouTube and Twitch. Beyond his professional work, he's actively pursuing his dreams as an indie game developer and Van-lifer.
