beloFX was founded in 2021, beloFX is a next-generation visual effects and technology company. We operate globally with outstanding teams based in Canada, India, and the UK. This is an era of dramatic change in moving image technology and process. Our founding team, who have extensive experience in high-end visual effects, intend the company to be at the forefront of this transformation.

Opportunity

This amazing opportunity is open to aspiring artists who want to be a part of beloFX. The aim is to help kick start their career, working amongst renowned artists and gaining valuable insight into working life within the VFX industry.

Eligibility

• Entrants must be 18 years or older and have less than one year of professional experience in any of the creative industries featured in the contest categories, as of June 1, 2024. For further information please read the rules.
• Must be able to complete the mentorship during the second half of 2024
• Must be able to have mentorship calls during working hours of GMT, EST, PST

Judging Criteria

The judges will be considering your overall presentation, technical skills, creative skills, variety of content, and employment potential. Treat your entry like a job interview.

Entry Requirements and Guidelines

• Entrants must be 18 years or older and have less than one year of professional experience in any of the creative industries featured in the contest categories, as of June 1, 2024. For further information please read the rules.
• Individual entries only; no team or professional projects.
• Explain Your Work: Provide brief descriptions for each animation, detailing your creative process, techniques used, and any challenges encountered.
• Professional Presentation: Ensure your entry is well-organized, visually engaging, and easy to understand.
• Read the Rules to confirm eligibility.

Tips for a Successful Entry

• Join the Community: Interact with judges and fellow entrants on our Discord Server.
• Review Past Winners: Gain inspiration from previous year’s entries.
• Watch Tutorials: Learn from online resources to enhance your entry.

Prize Details

• 2 x Winners
• Each winner receives 4 - 6 Hours of mentoring from a beloFX Employee.
• This could be in the form of Portfolio Preparation, Employer Experience, Project Feedback or Winners Choice.
• Video Conference meetings during working hours of GMT, EST, PST

How to enter

1. Click Submit Entry button to create an entry page.
2. Upload your best images, videos and supporting media using our entry page builder.
3. Select ‘Career Opportunities > beloFX’ as your nominated category.
4. Add details including a cover image, title, description, tags, and software used.
5. Accept rules and confirm eligibility.
6. Confirm & Submit your entry to judging panel.
