GRAIN DE SABLE

Inspired by the best-known CG Art Challenges, this project involved creating several 3D scenes that the user would walk through in a straight line, but with the help of a VR headset, could admire every nook and cranny.

The project was inspired by the famous CG Art Challenge, in which a character always walks straight ahead, a mountain in the distance, and only the appearance of the character and all the scenery can change. All these productions put together in a compilation give birth to a superb artistic video.

For our part, we had to create 5 scenes in which the player crossed each one in a straight line.

- Engine: Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprint)
- Release date: May 03, 2023
- Platform: PC in VR
- Team: 5 developers (each with their own scene)
- Project length: 2 months pre-production + 2 months production in parallel with other major projects and courses
- Context: 2nd year student project

LEVEL ART & TECH ART

My role on this project was to create my own scene. From Narrative Design to Level Art, my task was to transcribe an emotion, an idea, while respecting the constraints of the "Art Challenge".

My job was to visually reproduce the idea of deserts and large pillars that I had in mind. Only the pillars were made by myself, the rest came from Megascan (except for the door, made by Corentin Chemineau).

The main part of my work was to manage the light of the Unreal Engine, as well as creating a "Landscape" resembling desert dunes.
