Editorial Project: Voir les mots, lire les images

My project is based on the next demand: imagine a new experience of reading and layout of a book. My project focuses on the concept of the logbook, mixed with the design of archive documents. The reader follows, chapter by chapter, my “questioning” about the contemporary, with an evolution of the reading. My main plot reminds the notebooks we gat when we were young, at school, with squares and lines. I also got inspired by the concept of the logbooks. I took ownership of the project, as if it were an adventure that I was transcribing in a notebook. While reading the content that we had to lay out, I realized that I had to be concentrated to understand the text in depth. It reminded me of high school classes, where I would scribble on the pages of my notebook, or make annotations.

This notebook actually transcribes my deconcentration as I read. The further we advance in it, the more difficult it is to stay focused on the text, because our eye looks at the details placed on the page, whether it is a personal note, the formation of the text, or even the images.
