Comparison between the old model vs the new

It's a complete visual overhaul, we took the design of the original and made it more detailed and high fidelity, every single aspect has been redone with more thought and care to make this beast shine for Unreal Engine 5! We wanted to really lean into making this thing very Kaiju like in appearance, the Giganotosaurus in ARK is absolutely massive and we wanted the design to reflect that, so the design is very movie monster inspired, even more so than the previous iteration.

One noticeable difference is the head-shape, it's more boxy and robust with crisper details and smaller eyes to accentuate the size of this creature. The head is more alike it's real life fossil counterpart now as well, making this fantasy/sci-fi take on Giganotosaurus more in line with the real life animal.

We refer to the original model from the Paleo ARK Legends mod for ARK Survival Evolved as v.2 since there was a previous model being worked on by another artist that got scrapped before I joined the project. The new and improved model for the mod in ARK Survival Ascended is thus designated as v.3.
