Desert - Relighting

Workflow:

The scene I lit here is from the Epic Marketplace > FreshCan.

Since I wasn't responsible for the level art I spent most of my time setting up cameras and exploring the map.
Before lighting, I first wanted to find camera angles with good compositions that I could further support.

I analyzed the lighting in my references and set up similar light rigs. But while looking like existing games I felt they didn't look cinematic enough.
Because of that I chose to stick to the sunset lighting that actually gave me good shapes to work with.

As per usual I placed a few fog planes to highlight certain edges. That helped to distinguish the background from the middle- and foreground.
