Kachi and Rabbit

Based on the Japanese story Kachi-Kachi Yama and inspired by Film Noir and Hard-boiled detective stories. Animal characters have been personified. The Man is now a detective named Barthel ‘Bart’ Gardiner. Tanuki is now a man simply known as Nookie who is a prisoner locked up for suspicion of a crime. The wife is now Bart’s naive crime partner Lennan ‘Lenny’ Davis (also roommate and secret lover).
