Round of applause for our sponsors

I love games like Halo and universes like Warhammer 40k. Being able to put what I see in my mind into the world is why I love painting and designing. Seeing others inspired by the work I helped create is a great motivator.

I was searching for a work field that I would enjoy the most. At the time I was around 20 years old and while playing guild wars 2 I thought about what it would be like to be a concept artist. This started my passion for creating worlds and telling stories in a visual form. I fell in love with the media and how fun it was to create, so I have worked as hard as I can to get to where I am today.

Back to my college, I found myself have huge interest in animation. And during my college, I keep explore myself, then I figure I like 3D animation more than 2D animation. So I want to enhance my ability, then I entered sheridan college to study one year visual effect program, and I realize becoming fx artist is what my passion.

I am a visual artist fascinated with filmmaking and the VFX industry. I recently completed the Graduate Certificate in VFX and Computer Animation programs at Sheridan College, studying CGI and VFX filmmaking: filming, lighting, compositing, animating, modeling, rigging, and texturing in Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Substance Painter, Zbrush, and Nuke.

I first realized I wanted to work in this industry when I was in middle school! At first I didn't even realize that this was a career I could pursue! But once I found out, there was nothing that could stop me from practicing and embracing this artform completely.

I am 36 years old and have had a full career in theater. I started with stop motion as a hobby and moved into visual effects. Once I started doing 3D animation I knew that it was what I wanted to peruse full time. My career in theater comes in very handy as an animator. I am able to use that experience in acting and performance and bring it to my characters.

I do love drawing and 3d stuff. The immersive feeling is incredible.

After entering Sheridan College three years ago for my first exposure to 3D animation I became interested in the industry and followed up with a specialization in Visual Effects. After continued study and in-depth exposure, I developed a passion and vision for the industry.

I've always had a passion for art! My mother would tell me she always knew I would be an artist because I was always drawing since the age of 2. Since then I've always been doodling in my notebooks in class. Eventually I pursued animation at the University of Technology Jamaica, then I decided to leave my home country and further my studies at Sheridan College in Canada where I currently reside.

I’m really a big fan of 3D art. Great shows always make people feel excited, it contains the ability of transferring happiness and feelings. I want to be one of them who can show positive attitudes towards the public:)

When I first opened a Harry Potter books at the age of seven.

My passion for the creative industries began with sketching and experimenting as a child. Design's power to communicate and shape experiences fascinated me, leading me to pursue it as a profession. I'm driven by bringing ideas to life, making a positive impact, and contributing my unique perspective and skills. The dynamic nature of this field excites me, pushing me to continuously learn, adapt, and push creative boundaries.

When I was in high school, I wanted to work in the creative industries.

I realized that I wanted to work in the creative field when I was watching anime as a kid. I was immersed in their worlds and their adventures inspired me to create my own stories and characters. I did not know about concept art as a job back then, but I already knew that this type of work was what I desired.

Ever since I was a kid I loved drawing and watching animations. Growing up I never fell out of my interest in art and animation but I also never really thought about working in the creative industries until high school.

In 2010 after seeing Tangled in theatres, specifically the scene in which the main characters sing against a sky of lanterns, the visual and emotional impact completely drew me in and I was convinced I need to learn how to create like this.

It was my first previewing day of short animation film at the high school.

As a kid, I loved creating stop-motion animation films. My parents encouraged me to submit to film festivals and that experience took me to so many new places in my life I never would have discovered otherwise. After undergrad, I attended the Gobelins summer school program and decided the animation industry was where I wanted to be. I love the art, I love the communities I've met through animation, and I love the endless opportunities to learn!

Ever since I was little, I started to take it more seriously when I turned 13. That was when Halo 3 came out and it inspired me to pursue creative media as a career.

I am a person who love independent music, animation and film art. I used to be a guitarist often shared music creation with rock band on stage, but I later discovered that character animation is an art that combines the rhythm of physical movement and emotional performance.

To be a great CG artist

My first education is classical painting. After I graduated, i realized, that it is really hard to say something within this medium and decided that my ideas are best to be expressed in animation.
