3D Environment

These are the concept arts I am basing my 3D Environment on. The first one was made by Apolline Etienne (https://apollineetienne.artstation.com/) and the second one was made by Quan Pham Tung (https://www.artstation.com/phamtungquan).

Update - 14 May 2021

Both the statue and the temple were made with the same process, block out in 3DsMax, painted and normal map in Photoshop.

For the trees I used the tool of Blender "Sapling Tree Gen", I changed a couple of parameters to get these two. The wood texture is tileable and for the leaves  I used the same process of the vegetation.

Update - 20 Apr 2021

This is all the folliage I prepared for my environment, I painted everything using Photoshop.

And this are the different variations I did using the folliage. All are planes that I cuted in Blender then with the help of soft selection I bended them.

Update - 2 Apr 2021

This is how is looking so far , I already sculpted the rocks, added the water and painted the textures on the terrain.

I sculpted the rocks in Blender then decimated a duplicate to bake the low version in Marmoset and paint hem in Photoshop using the curvature and oclussion maps. Then in Unity I created a material with the texture I painted and a normal map.

I drew the skybox and the tileable textures in Photoshop.

And last but not least, the water which I used the Unity Shader Graph, this is how it looks the shader.

Update - 24 Mar 2021

Here is the block out I made so far, I modeled everything in 3Ds Max then exported it to Unity. And  I did the terrain in Unity using the terrain option.

I decided to get rid of the waterfall because it wouldn't appear in the cinematic that I have thought, and I also expanded the terrain and added trees to give more a nature vibe.

Update - 16 Mar 2021

This is going to be my first challenge in The Rookies so I am really excited to see how it turns out, I hope I will learn a lot during the making process.

My plan is to change the moai sculpt to the sculpt of the second concept to give more of a new planet vibes and I also have the intention to add more foliage.
