Summer Photorealism: Belted Kingfisher

Hello!

I'm Corrine, and I am a full-time college student!

When I think of summer, I think of the most enjoyable activity for myself, which is birdwatching. In Canada, the Belted Kingfisher is a familiar face among our plentiful rivers and lakes. It is a very entertaining bird to admire, sleek and beautiful in its movements and form. I wish to try and capture this feeling in my sculpt and have a fun time experiencing this new program.

I have no experience in Blender, however, I do have a small amount of experience in Maya, Mudbox and Substance Painter. I hope they help me quickly learn the new layout of this program :).

Below you will find a few selected reference photos of the Belted Kingfisher (I do not own these photos). I look forward to trying to imitate this beautiful bird in my sculpt.
