Morning Dining Room by Abby Xu Chen
This Project marked my completion of my Mentorship Term at Think Tank Training Centre. I want to thank my mentor: Vitaliy Koshevyy. Without his invaluable advice, I wouldn't have been able to accomplish this project, my family and friends, and the concept artist: Cmy Cai.

Choosing this particular project was significant for me as it marked the culmination of my time at TTTC. I aimed to leverage all my skills and software knowledge to craft a complex yet achievable scene showcasing my modeling, texturing, and look development abilities. While I primarily used Maya for modeling, I encountered numerous challenges along the way. Notably, I spend 50 hours on modeling the center mirror, which has equipped me to model any kinds of ornaments from now on. In terms of texturing, I enhanced my skills in Substance Painter and also dabbled a bit in Substance Sampler.
During the creation of this project, I discovered a profound interest in lighting and look development. Understanding that these elements are essential for achieving cinematic and realistic scenes. I began experimenting with lighting in the first week and progressed to scene setup in Nuke by the second month.
