Stylised 3D Work 2021/22

Paige Wilkie
by PaigeW on 3 Apr 2022 for Rookie Awards 2022

These are my two most recent projects created during the 1st semester of my 3rd year at University. The first is a stylised character model inspired by The Witcher and the second is a stylised environment diorama.

This character model was created as a final project for a Character Art Production module at University. Initially, I drew up a quick concept for this character which was heavily inspired by The Witcher. The high poly model was sculpted in ZBrush, which I then took into Maya for retopology and UV unwrapping. The texturing was created in Substance Painter and the final rendered images were taken in Unreal Engine.

Stylised Environment Diorama

This diorama was created as my final project for an Environment Art Production module at University. I started off by creating the majority of the low poly assets in Maya which I would then take into ZBrush to sculpt in texture details. The majority of the texturing was done in Substance Painter but in addition, I also created a series of tileable textures in Substance Designer and since this was the first time I had ever used this software, it took a lot of getting used to. The final scene was then assembled and lit in Unreal Engine and that is where the rendered images were taken.
