This is my final 1st year CG project from ESMA Lyon. In this still image, I wanted to reflect loss and hope throughout a melancholic atmosphere and share my passion about writing and musical theater. My main inspiration was the character of Margot Tenenbaum from the Wes Anderson movie, The Royal Tenenbaums (2001).

A child's/teenager's room - 1st year still image project at ESMA Lyon for CGI Animation and VFX
This is my last big CG project during my first year in ESMA Lyon (2019-2020). The goal was to create a photorealistic image using all our knowledge from this year and to be able to tell a story through the visuals we have created. Our theme was to create a child's or a teenager's room. My character, Sunday (11 years old), and the general aesthetic of her room were inspired by Margot Tenenbaum's character from the Wes Anderson movie The Royal Tenenbaums. My intention was to express loss and hope through the character's passions : musical theater, writing and music, all related to her recently deceased mother. Throughout this image I am also able to share my love for these same interests.
This image was created with Autodesk Maya and Pixar's Renderman. The compositing was done in Adobe Photoshop.
