I realised it after I started studying it. I got into a game design school because I was looking for something new and followed my gut on this being the right choice. Only once I was in and doing it, it came to me that I had been secretly dreaming about it since my youth. Whether it was playing with lego's, messing around in world editors of existing games or designing field games for groups of kids, it all seemed to have pointed me in this direction.
