Low Poly 3D Planets

Project Introduction

Greetings everyone,

This is a project I worked on for "Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance". An online library website, subbed under foundation main website & the whole concept was created for the landing page and how it would have a creative & catchy look for the visitors. Name of the library is:-

" Reading Corner - ركن القراءة "

          The design was created using the "Low Poly" 3 Dimensional concept of modeling as you will see below, it has kind of a realistic feel with a cartoon-ish look. The concept is about a small universe of planets, each represents a category of books. All models has elements related to the category it represents. All models are made in Low Poly, where they look like real things but with less details and looks like a miniature of the real one.

Design & Breakdown (1st Concept)

          The first concept was to create about eleven categories and compose them together in space as you will see below. This concept was discarded later on though, as they wanted less categories that are more specified to the foundation directions.

Design & Breakdown (2nd Concept)

          At some point they wanted to change the structure to make the library & its' website contain books that only contains subjects that matches the foundations' directions. So, the main planet of the foundation remained the same and I created three new planets.
