Final Year Project: Rune the half Jotunn 2019
My main inspiration for this project was to create a 3D character Model from Concept to Game-ready and render from inside Unreal engine 4. I wanted to fully understand the process of creating a game-ready character and learn and have the ability to Rigg, animate and Render any Characters in the future to showcase in my Portfolio.
I made a basic Rigg in 3Ds Max, As I only needed the character model to look more presentable to showcase at Expotees and Expo events, rather than a static mesh in a T-Pose. Having the knowledge and the ability to Rigg your own character models to Pose and even animate them goes a long way, giving myself the freedom to present my characters however I like. If it's making an Idle animation or a cinematic Pose I have that choice to do so.
I enjoyed the development of creating Rune, as I learned a lot about creating characters for video games and what I can do to improve for future work.
