Update - 30 May 2019
Don’t Look is a student horror game project using the Tobii Eye tracking technology and made with Unity (HDRP). The project was exclusively developed by 6 students of CNAM-Enjmin during two and a half months.
You play a child who went searching his dog, lost in a dark and mysterious underground bunker. Within this place, you will have to explore each room and illuminate the environment using the flashlight that you control with your sight.
Here is the gameplay video showing how we used the eyetracking system. As you can see, the player's eyes are directly controlling the flashlight. The player is encouraged to explore the environment, and read the writing on the walls which is part of tutorial.
There are two creatures in the game. The first one is the Spider Woman. She is the one who wakes up when we light her. When the player is discovered, he has to find a hideout and literally, close the eyes to light off.
Here are walking and wake-up animaions.
The second creature, the Biped man, is on the contrary vulnerable to light. In the darkness he is slowly and continuously walking. To make him step backwards, the player has to concentrate the light on him.
