For this piece, I was assigned to create a brand package for one of my favorite music festivals, Boston Calling, complete with a festival open, lower thirds, and various edits of the open for social media advertising.

For this piece, I was assigned to create a brand package for one of my favorite music festivals, Boston Calling, complete with a festival open, lower thirds, and various edits of the open for social media advertising.

Growing up in the Boston area, I spent many summers at this music festival and hold it near to my heart. The two day festival has a history of showcasing some of the most popular artists within the Alternative genre, while maintaining a heavy influence of Boston’s gritty culture. From the beginning of the festival’s history, it has maintained a branding identity of a red and blue color scheme, as the original festival was divided into two color-coded stages, with sets alternating between the two stages throughout the day. When going to this festival in the past, it was important to remember which band was performing at each stage, therefore you knew where to be throughout the day. With my festival open, I decided to use the red and blue emphasis on each band, as it would advertise in advance, which stage they would be performing at during the festival.
