Love Death & Robots - The Secret War  ENV

This is an exercise done during Environment week on Unreal engine at BigRock. I've received a synopsis and a reference from a classmate. Then I tried to best replicate the sensations that the assignment had given me.

This is the synopsis I received:

"Soviet Union, as World War II rages on, a group of soldiers is sent to patrol a remote fishing village following reports of paranormal activity.

It is a cold but clear winter day when the group of men reaches the bank of the frozen river where the village is located. The air is still and the silence unreal, the only sign of life are the plumes of smoke that lazily emerge from the flues of the houses.

A gloomy aura permeates the village, the stagnant stench of death takes the breath away from the soldiers and anxiety grips their stomachs as they cross the frozen river. Once they arrive on the other side of the river, with deep horror, they discover that the villagers have been barbarously killed and torn to pieces.

The village already impoverished by the regime and by the war is now completely destroyed and in ruins, the wooden houses are now covered in the blood and scratches of unclean creatures and the furniture is broken into a thousand pieces. Only the signs of daily life brutally interrupted remain."
