-conceptual statement

LIFE OF A SQUARE

For the brand-new logo of Xiaomi, the design team studied circles and squares. The result they gave was 'squircle' which means combining a circle and a square. The difference between the logo between old and the new is they smoothen the edge of the precious logo. They propose a main concept which called 'Alive', means their product and logo are decided to change a dynamic, movement, and vitality style. Based on their presentation of the new logo, they believe the more technology evolves, the closer it to gets to the form of life. They consider as technology should be alive and their first step is to design their products with alive looks by dynamic, movement, and squircle style.
