Backpack Modelling
The backpack assignment marked my 2nd month at Think Tank Training Centre. I had so much fun creating this!
Backpack modeling was a three week assignment at Think Tank Training Centre. I fell in love with an adventurer backpack and started the process. Modeling was done in Maya, Sculpting was in Mudbox, and final render was done using V-Ray in Maya
Before I could start the modeling in Maya, I aligned 3 views of the backpack as best as I could in Photoshop.
To add the wrinkles and stitches, I imported the mesh to Mudbox as an OBJ file and started sculpting on it. To add the stitches, I created the stitch shape in Photoshop and applied it as a stamp on a sculpt tool. Use steady stroke to have better control on what you draw!
Here's the result after sculpting!
