House Concept Art
Concept art of a San Fransisco home I created as a fun side project, helping me to expand my skills in this area.
As a personal project, I decided to work on photobashing and concept art. The photo bash below shows a mix of images put together to recreate a small sketch I was working from (the sketch wasn't mine so isn't included), deviating from the idea to create something more realistic.
The line art stage was more simple, as it involved fewer creative decisions. Here I simply traced over the original photo bash, adding more details where it felt necessary, and highlighting some of my favourite details, such as the curvature above the door.
I love the way the final concept came out after adding the colours. I feel I was able to capture the bright and lively feel of this building, while also making sure it was accurate and grounded in realism. Deviating from the colours of the original image really helped to make the house stand out to me, despite it being less colourful than the photo bash actually was!
