References

These are all of the references that I used within the modelling process.

Character Model

These are the eyes for my character that I modelled within Zbrush.

Rigging

For the rigging process I used Mgear, and brought in a pre build rig then lined it up with my character, then after the rig was built I resized the controllers to make it easier to animate with.

Weight Painting

I used Mg Skin tools to weight paint the prebuilt rig onto my specific character.

Blend shapes

This is me making the Blend Shapes for my character, I had in mind the different faces i wanted for the general animation. one being creepily happy and one being really angry.

Textures

These are the Textures I made within Substance Painter for my character. I wanted to keep them as close to the original character as possible so I used him colour, then I tried out many different fur textures till I found one that looked good for the final render.

Previs

Above is the first previs that I made, I had in mind the kind of animation I wanted to make due to the character i was making. I wanted the animation to be creepy so that's why I made him seem as if he was tracking someone or something.

Above is the animation coupled with the textures that I had made and added to the character. I decided to ditch the main simple jump and have him go down the slope a different way and I believe it paid off greatly, it gives off the creepy style that I wanted to make with him along with adding blend shapes to make him seem angry at first but then having a big grin when he finds the thing he is looking for.

Final Shot

Above is the final shot that I uploaded for the project, I used NukeX for the colour grading of the scene as well as adding the special effects at the end of the scene. to add the character to the scene I rendered the beauty and shadow passes then merged them all into one scene. I then added some rotoscoping for the fence and added my own graffiti to the back wall to match the name of the character.
