Hiiiii, I’m Yichi.

I am a motion designer. I Love Motion Design, GIFs, travel, and sweets.

As a human, we need to experience the world. Motion Design makes me think, observe, and explore the world.

I would like to use Motion Design to tell my stories and connect to viewers. Because it is a powerful communication tool, allowing designers to communicate stories concisely and help viewers instantly grab an idea.

Here are some of my works!

#1. Time Capsule

:: Concept

" When humans perceive the world, we utilize mental models to help us understand the relationship between separate entities. "

Studying abroad in these two years shaped who I am. I learned how to think differently, learn something new, and experience new cultures; on the other hand, I also encountered a lot of difficulties, such as finance, time, languages, and cultural challenges. These adversities have proven to be valued in their imperfect.

Using HEX object to visualize data illustrations a mental model of my experience and presents what I experience and learning throughout the time of studying abroad.

#2. Promo for Atlanta Science Festival

:: Objective

It is to engage the public in a celebration of our local science community, and the ways science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) help us to better understand and improve our world.

:: Concept

Living in the world creates connection, and it establishes fascination and excitement. It inspires us to wonder about the future and improve. Using elements and patterns which are spirit, art, sound, and nature connects to our world. Discover the beauty of the world and formulate a new universe to live!

:: Target

Adults, families, and children of all ages and interests in science and technology.

#3. Intentional Life

:: Concept

To inspire people who also feel complicated and distracting by their day and want to make some improvements in their life. Being busy doesn't always mean being productive. There are too many choices in our daily life that force us to be aware of multiple things when we should focus on only one thing.

We have to learn how to make a decision about our interests and pursue them to lead an intentional life.

The animation expresses the idea of rebuilding oneself and narrowing down choices one has to make.

:: Message Takeaway

Taking the time to pursue things that interest us helps us go from a busy life to a meaningful life.

#4. Adapt

:: Concept

Challenges help us to improve ourselves, and we learn from failures and experiences.

A hard-edged puzzle progressively transforms into a smooth sphere, reflecting a gradual learning experience.
