Wishing Wand
Wishing Wand is a project I made for my worldbuilding class. Over the course of ten weeks I was tasked to make a story for a YA animated series & build a world around it.
Wishing Wand
Story Summary
Dylan and Riley, childhood best friends, move to a new city to study magic. Trouble arises when Riley’s jealousy at Dylan’s skills and new friendships drives them to sabotage her work, and create a rift in their friendship.
Character designs
My favorite part of making the character designs was trying to reflect their personalities through their shape language & outfits. I have a moodboard for every character!

Fleshing out the world of Wishing Wand really helped to solidify the story in my mind.
Final Key Frames
I wanted these last illustrations to highlight the contrast between Dylan & Riley's relationship at the beginning and the end of the story.
