Robots into climate change
My project, given to me by my course has us working through the idea of creating a robot based onto the idea of how they could be created involving the themes of climate change.
Update - 18 May 2023
Texture
I had wanted to add in the waxy texture which would tie in the full robotic look of my character.
Animation
I have then shown a couple of clips of my process for amination and then the final render which fully finishes my project.

Character Texture and model
I used Z Brush to be able to add my textures to the robot while fixing specific shapes so I can easily rig my character after.
Here I have altered the character design, keeping the silhouette and ensuring I have the appropriate layout set for me to begin texturing. Once I did this, I could add in my slight textures and attempt to add the details I had in the references I created. I decided to cut back slightly on the amount of texture I intended to add to allow simplicity to keep a strong hold on my design. When I brought the render quality down to export it back onto Maya, it had been able to do successfully without issues and allowed me to easily have a base to start creating my rig.
Character Rig
Once I had completed my character texture, I was able to import the model back onto Maya to start creating my rig.

Concept: Create a robot based onto the effects of climate change
My character: “”Pip” a modern chandelier that has used scraps to make him look like a candle (as if society has moved back from technology).
The concept art
The 3D model
Adjustments
The 3D model was done on Maya and then imported onto Z Brush for finer details, the spring was the essential part to allow additional movement due to him having no arms.
Character Animation
Here I created some videos so I can visualise how I want to rig the character and what I can focus on when animating.
